[JWM] MPlayer locks up

There's another problem with MPlayer, but I don't know if it can
be blamed on the window manager :)

If MPlayer is started from the JWM menu by executing 'gmplayer', the
windows appear but MPlayer is hung. However, starting 'gmplayer'
from a rxvt terminal window then MPlayer starts up and runs ok.

I kind of fixed it, I think, by creating a script called
'mplayershell' that has inside it 'exec gmplayer' and mplayershell
is run from the menu.

Do you think that this problem is related to JWM?
Perhaps there needs to be special handling in JWM for MPlayer, that is,
treat it as a special case.
