Yeah, we have one in Puppy Linux, two actually.

Our latest Puppy, codenamed "Dingo", has one written in C/GTK2.
Earlier puppies have one written in Tcl/Tk, or was that Tcl/Gnocl.

The latest one would probably interest you. I have probably put a
link in my blog somewhere, where you can locate the source:

or, go to our forum where it was recently being discussed. The author
ran into a problem -- he got the icon displaying with a transparent
background on one of our earlier puppies, but when he tried it on
Dingo, which uses GTK 2.12.1, it just has a white background -- which
I'm looking at right now.

It's nice, you can right-click and bring up the mixer.

Anyway, if you want to helpout with the transparency, please do.

We also have "Blinky", a network monitor, written in C and GTK2.
